Frequently Asked Questions

  1. When can I legally market my property?

You can legally market your property as soon as you have commissioned / ordered you Energy Performance Certificate.
  2. How long will it take after the appointment before I will receive my EPC?

You should receive your EPC within 24 hours of the appointment date / time.
  3. Why are your EPC's so cheap ?

We have access to a network of fully accredited domestic energy assessors with whom we have negotiated preferential prices with. Furthermore, assessors also like to be paid on the day of the appointment and we have found that this payment structure incentivises them to complete jobs we refer to them quickly.
  4. I have had an appointment but I haven't received my EPC yet.

Although rare, delays in the production of an EPC can occur. You can either contact the assessor directly or alternatively, send us an email and we'll speak to the assessor on your behalf.
  5. Should I provide my buyer / tenant with a copy of my EPC?

The short answer is Yes. If you are marketing your property for sale or let then the energy efficiency rating will likely be displayed on the marketing particulars for your property.
  6. What is involved in the EPC appointment?

As part of the assessment, the assessor will gather information relating to the energy efficiency of your property. The assessor will need to establish if your property has double glazing, insulation, how you heat your property, what type of lighting you use and how many lights there are etc.
